"MY LORD AND MY GOD"
There are more than 30 Altar Boys in the parish and they assist in Holy Qurbana by turns. They actually render exemplary service befitting the ministering angels of God. Boys of the Sunday school from class V onwards are eligible to serve as Altar Boys. In addition to them, youngsters who completed schooling also assist in Holy Qurbana and other liturgical services.

The Prayer Group of the parish had its beginning in the early 1990s. The fundamental aim of the group is to make prayers of intercession for the families, society and the world at large. The members come together every Sunday at 1.30 pm and pray together in the serenity of the church. Prayers of praise, thanksgiving, rosary, Bible reading, reflection on the Word of God and intercessory prayers are held during the session. They participate in the charismatic renewal programmes at the forane and diocesan levels and play an important role in the Bible Convention of the diocese. They extend financial assistance to the deserving as far as possible.

Their unity and leadership in prayer services prove to be an inspiration to the parishioners.

It is the Pala Social Welfare Society (PSWS) that takes the lead in the social welfare activities of the diocese. Self-Help Groups function commendably in parishes and it is through them that welfare projects are carried out. In Mallikassery parish too self-Help groups are quite active and there are 5 SH Groups working for a common purpose. Several social welfare schemes for the uplift and well-being of the locality are implemented under the leadership of the office-bearers and with the mutual support of the groups.
Job-oriented programmes, Deposit schemes, Loan schemes, Awareness classes, Seminars on health and hygiene are some of the projects successfully launched by the self-Help groups of the parish. A good number of people irrespective of religion and gender are the beneficiaries of the collective efforts initiated by these self- Help groups towards the creation of a bright and better tomorrow.
