St. Thomas Church Mallikassery

CML is the largest lay missionary organization founded with the avowed goal of fostering mission spirit in individuals, families and parishes and of promoting missionary activities in an organized manner through prayer, contributions and promotion of vocations. CML unit in Mallikassery was surpassingly active in the early decades of the history of the church.

Through CML, training is imparted to the members to live up to its slogan 'Love, Sacri-fice, Service and Suffering'. Membership is granted to the Sunday school children who have received Holy commun-ion. In addition to the weekly gatherings there are special meetings every month. Public meetings are conducted on 3rd July, 15th August and 1st October with enlightening programmes.

In connection with the feast of St. Little Therese of Lisieux, the Patroness of Mission League, there is membership renewal as well as common Holy Communion. CML programmes help the members in their integral development in the spiritual, social, cultural, intellectual, artistic and literary fields. They pave the way to the blossoming of chil-dren's God- given talents as well. House visiting and visits to the hospitals are undertaken by the members at least twice a year.

150 volunteers have membership in the CML unit and they extend spiritual support to all the missionary endeavours of the Church through prayer and sacrifice.
